The Hero and The Villain

“A hero would sacrifice you for the world,

A villain would sacrifice the world for you.”

If the roles were switched, twould still be fair

It depends on the values you share

Without the love, life’s hardly worth living

Without the world, no place to call home.

But in this world are thieves and crooks,

Arsonists, outlaws, and murderers

What fool would save them instead of you,

Faced with the ultimate decision?

Suppose ‘true love’ came into the equation

If it is destined, you, it shall be.

Cast aside the world, tis not as important as thee.

But if it is not to be, the world shall be saved.

Grief will amount, yes, but move on. The hero’s soul is not so chained.

The villain hates these buffoons and martyrs,

Perhaps one of them forced the decision

Perhaps these idiots-

But ask yourself why, and ask yourself when,

A hero would sacrifice you

For them?
