A Hero of My Own

Bang

goes the cannon

now my love lies cold and dead

his foe has been defeated

a new land free to clam

as the soldiers march their way back home

and wives reclaim their prize

the one without sit out

broken hearted full of dread

they all said that love was light

they said that love was pure

they said that love would never end

that it would be for good

return to kids

return to life

return to what is known

but never forget

my fallen love

a hero to call my own
