He's the cool fall night

He's the cool fall night stretched out
on a blanket at the beach,
as the moon reflects on the ocean.
He's the warm sweater that fits
me just right on endless February nights.
He's the first day of spring when all
darkness crawls back into its shadows.
He's the first sip of water on those
neverending, blazing summer afternoons
He's the kiss from the snow on my cheek
after we've opened presents on Christmas
and have gone out to play.
He's the only thing holding gravity in space.
He's the second hand on the watch on my wrist,
turning in circles forever.
