He's Still On The Throne

I once was a captive

But now I am free

By the Spirit of God

Dwelling inside of me

I once lived in darkness

But I was renewed

By the indwelling presence

Of the Spirit of Truth

Fear once controlled me

But God called my name

He broke every bondage

I’ve never been the same

I was once full of anger

Then God showed forgiveness

He showed me His love

How it is utterly limitless

I was once my worst enemy

Then God showed me beauty

That I am in his image

That no one can break me

I once was embarrassed

Then God made me new

Now I’m a free spirit

And my mind’s been renewed

I used to be broken

Desperately alone

But God ever shows me

He is still on the throne!
