Hesitating

Wishing we could go back to this weekend,

When I put your actions on pause in the booth, your room

I felt embarrassed, as you smothered me in your intensity

Causing vivid, thorny; evergreen vines twisting,

Climbing up my spinal cord as you touched me

Hands and fingertips turning into cherry blossoms

Lips and kisses turning into red rose petals

Our arms stretching like redwood trees

Branching out for one another

Legs becoming roots as they slowly grow out and apart

Skin turning into sticky, sweet oak tree bark

Our scents mixing like tulips and bloodroots

Somehow perfectly potted in the same ground,

I hesitated..

Placing my rose petals on yours just seemed too risky

One of them could've been bruised...

Your bed smelled like England's meadows with spring breezes

Your room reminded me of an oasis that read "safe haven"

Then you touched me, the blossoming began again

The vines coiling around my ribs and coccyx

Telling me to bend back, lean back and let her in

I hesitated..

Roots, tangled so easily together

Our hands intertwined catching in our redwood branches

Like an over-watered flower

I am on the edge of drowning in you

I wish we could go back to Sunday or Saturday,

The English meadows and somewhat small booth

Leaving rose water on my neck with your mischievous tongue;

Don't make me uproot you

If I pleasure you, you'll further it

But I'm not bending to the hurricanes like palm trees do

I'm not afraid, just hesitant*

Embarrassed as both of our faces are blushed like pink daffodils

My blue tulip, knowing how to tame her sickly ill bloodroot

In ways no one can ever repeat since they’re not you

But she thinks I’m a stiff stem because of the shyness, my love

I'm just hesitant....

Give me time to adjust

Give me a little leeway

Is it okay if our branches get caught and stuck?

Is it alright if my bloodroot scent is marked into your birch bark?

Is it fine if my petals fall lower than your standards,

When it comes to touching your body?

Are you sure that we can get my roots tangled into yours?

Tell me how much water you want and when

Unless you just want to sink into me

Let me love with and on you, not off of you

Help my sickness grow weak

Take me back to the first blossomings

Uproot me with your cherry blossom hands

Let your tulip scent seep into my skin

Simply give me another chance to sprout from my seed shell,

To experience this beauty; gift of nature and love with you,

To make you the loudest girl in the world for a night,

Take me back to the heat that warmed our faces

Take me back to that booth and your room

Take me back to this weekend.
