Hey Darling
Hey Darling,
There are times I want nothing more than to knock some sense into you.
To shake you so hard your ignorance and stubbornness are sent spiraling into another galaxy.
Other times I want nothing more than to wrap you in arms of strength and security.
To let the bullets and arrows the world shoots to hit me instead of you.
I would take every single one.
Each piece of your shattered hope screams that you are never escaping the sick filth that suffocates your identity.
Your quaking shoulders are threatening to succumb to the weight of your hesitation and fear.
Your heart reaches out a quivering hand, using its final beat to tell you it cannot take any more.
Your rebellious thoughts provide a steady supply of toxin to your veins.
Even your eyes betray you, casting shadows of doubt and alienation over every corner of your existence.
In a final attempt at survival, you beg me to save you.
Darling, I love you more than anything, anything in this broken world, but that is not enough.
My love will never be enough to save you, but I pray that you never surrender.
Whatever you do, never give up on yourself.
Carefully arrange the shards of your hope into a mosaic of renewal and regeneration.
Dig your heels into the rocky earth so you can balance the weight of your insecurities with the magnitude of your confidence.
Resuscitate your ambition, creativity, and curiosity with the immeasurable force of sheer will.
Dare to feel, dream, and believe with every ounce of your being.
Tear the veil blinding your eyes so you can see all the beauty and flaws of the world in their most honest state.
To live, love, and breathe are challenges far more terrifying than death.
Darling, I cannot describe the depths of my love for you, but it will never be enough.
My unrelenting love cannot save you, but I pray that you persevere until your last breath.
Whatever you do, wherever you go, whoever you become, love yourself.
Love the intelligent, humble, human, strong, brave beauty you were created to be.
Always Yours,
Gabby
