Hey remember that time

One time I saw a man die

But he was just sleeping

And when he woke up with a snort

I was just a little disappointed

One time I fell through a crack

And I landed in the center of the earth

And all the dinosaurs just smiled and said

‘Hang on to your youth, kid.’

One time the moon spoke to me

It told me the sun was a bully

I told the moon I needed the sun to live

It sighed and said ‘you too?’

One time I made a house out of dust

But my stuffed animals couldn’t fit inside

They looked at me, hands on hips and told me

I’d ruined everything

One time I met my hero in the supermarket

And she bought me a pack of cigarettes

I didn’t even know she smoked

But she told me she wanted to die

One time I had a tea party with death

He taught me how to fold napkins into flowers

I asked him if he knew the best way to die

But he laughed and said I was too late
