Hi stranger.
Hi Stranger.
A long time ago, I knew peace.
Now I can’t find it, it’s strange.
It hurts like the death of my niece.
Is it free-living, or locked up in a cage?
Show me where it is, I’m on my knees.
Even if I have to give something in return, an exchange.
I would sacrifice anything to not feel like this.
Am I a fool?
Peace isn’t far from me but I can’t see it.
Peace lives in me but I can’t feel it.
I told you I was okay, I didn’t mean it.
Please talk to me, I need it.
What is peace?
Does it have a number I can call?
Is it an item at the mall?
Is it the rain that falls?
Maybe it’s a painting on the wall.
I hope I’ll be able to keep it when I find it.
Just for a little longer, I miss it.
If peace is Strength, then I might give up.
If Peace is death, I hope I go to sleep and never wake up.
Well, Stranger.
You don’t have answers for me but;
I hope you’ve found peace.
If you’re still searching, I hope you find it before me.
-Dee.
