Hidden

I was once told, “ I can’t tell how you feel.”

I guess I had reached my goal

I hide

It’s easier that way

I don’t have to care or worry about judgment

So I hide

From all feelings society tries to press on me

I try speaking out, speaking the truth

Bu nobody likes hearing the truth and now I am the bad guy

So I hide

Because the truth doesn’t set you free

It’s a trap that sends you into judgment by society

So I hide

Busy being the service to other people

Always caring and lending my ear

But it all goes to shit anyway

So I hide

Heart full of pain because I am tired of love

Love is cured with pain and pain is cured with love

A never-ending cycle

So I hide

Because neither one of them does any good for me

I don’t cry for help

I am hidden

Nobody can find me under the pain, heartache, and fear I live in

I am hidden

And it has made me look strong

I am hidden

And nobody knows how I feel

I am hidden

So I can’t show weakness

A moment of weakness opens up to opportunity

An opportunity to expose me bare

An opportunity for judgment, for love, for pain, for truth, for betrayal, for denial, for undeserving love

I am hidden

The stepping stool for your great achievements

I am hidden

So much so that I can’t see myself whole anymore

 I am hidden

Behind the broken image

Maybe one day I will reveal myself
