Hidden.
No one can see them.
They were there, the vertical red lines.
They're gone now.
Sadness, Pain, Anger..they're still there.
You told me you wanted to help me,
Where the fuck were you when I needed you to lend your hand.
Grasping for you, was like grasping oxygen
Necessary for survival, but nowhere to be seen.
Instead you turned from me and looked to the ground,
As if dirt were more interesting than my pleas for you to save me.
Don't get me wrong.
I got myself out.
I saved myself.
I guess I was stronger than you were.
But now that I'm "sane",
Don't you fucking dare say "Hey, how are you doing?"
You damn well know the answer.
To the person who was--is like I was,
Swim up.
Don't succumb to the darkness.
Don't stay hidden.
To the person who was--is like the faceless other.
Change.
That person chose to reach for you.
Don't you dare leave them gasping for air.
