Hidden Feelings

So me with no filter...

Me with no mask...

No biting my tongue

No holding back

If my words had no filter

It might be sappy to say

But my words would be romantic

Like Shakespeare's "hot summer day"

I'm a very passionate person

In everything I do

In everyone I meet

I'm even passionate about you

I get very involved

My interest is high

Maybe even too invested

I'm not gonna lie

It's just who I am

I'm not looking to change

But that's what a filter does

It helps me not come off so strange

For example there's this girl

Beautiful in and out

I remember every conversation

I can recall them without a doubt

With no filter, she would know what I knew

With no filter, she would know the truth
