The Hidden Hand

When I was young I wanted to become a chef

but that thought changed ever since i knew death

I realized I wanted to help people so I aimed to become a nurse

knowing that I would have to study everyday like a curse

I may be awake till three in the morning

next to me my future roommate heavily snoring

but thats okay

because i know im reaching my goal day by day

my parents dont have a lot of money to support

but with their encouraging words i dont feel so short

I believe I can do this with the right mindset

and help from an extra hand  and thats a bet
