Hidden Meanings

Poetry.

Seemed pointless to me.

Why not just say what you mean.

Instead of concealing your feelings behind

Riddles and rhymes.

It’s frustrating to understand.

Just tell me how you feel!

What you are thinking!

Who you are talking about!

Dozens of potential meanings,

Hiding in a couple of stanzas.

It’s pointless.

But it’s supposed to be

Complex, not pointless I mean.

Different meanings,

Different people.

Being able to see yourself:

Hidden in each poem.

Pulling your own meaning.

It’s not pointless just,
