Hidden Names
Among the shadows
Think of hidden burdens that grow within you.
Think of your soul dimming through the lights,
And only dusk remains.
If you have this name,
Your father’s pale eyes Seek forgiveness.
But is too blind
To see the real truth of the past.
Like rushing wind,
Impossible to touch.
That name is full of innocence,
Running out of words to say
As if her conscious pulls her voice to silence.
It means always reaching towards the gleam
Of achievement even if it gets dark overtime.
Such a name my mother loves
Whose dignity can never be lost.
Only because she has found herself
Amongst the power of spirit.
Blooming into a flower,
Teaching her helpless seeds
The cost of life.
If you have a name like this
There is never enough patience,
But there is too much time.
An hourglass who’s sand never runs out
Like the sun on the horizon.
It’s my name,
That of greatness will be accomplished,
Even if the road breaks
Along this never ending journey.
It’s the name that will be carried with me
As it marks my skin,
That may never be removed.
