Hidden Rage

Love from the roots of the trees,

To the tips or their leaves,

That's all you ever gave.

Happiness from the soles of my shoes,

Stretching afar towards Timbuktu,

That's all I ever craved.

Memories of long walks on the beach,

To willingly rubbing each others feet,

Something I did not expect,

From a man so concave.

If all of this is something,

A woman can only dream of,

Why does your beautiful presence,

Put me in a RAGE?

I want to love you when I hate you the most.

I want to deceive you when you have done nothing wrong.

I want to shove you away,

Even when all you are doing is helping me get along.

I don't know why I treat you the worst,

When you have done nothing but the absolute best.

Maybe it's because I realize that I never deserved you in my life.

Or,

That you can never mend a broken woman into a wife.

I don't want to hurt anymore,

And you take the pain away.

But sadly,

My brain is automatically programmed,

To forever be stuck in a RAGE.
