Hidden Secret

I'm bound in chains and locked away in the tallest tower.
I'm the secret that no one wants to breach upon the light.
I'm bound in ropes and stored away in the lowest dungeon.
I'm the secret that has fell peasants and kings alike.
I'm bound in bones and hidden away in the farthest forest.
I'm the secret that's pushed to the darkest corner in your mind.
Those that bound me and hid me away ask "What are you?"
"I'm you."
