Hidden in the Stars

Littering the midnight sky, Hundreds of thousands, Glittering gloriously against the silver effervescence of the moon; Infinitely there but only noticeable at night, Beautiful together, Unremarkable alone. Lost in the sea of darkness, A single star, Hidden amongst those shining, Above, Next to, And Below. It’s hard to be different, To be an individual, When everyone around you is a carbon copy; When just being a star isn’t enough When shining brightly is an inadequacy, But blending in or hiding out, Is normalcy.
