Hidden in These Words

Oh, the day, the day today

Let my worries wash away

Let us write about another day

Without the stress of yesterday

Oh, the time, time so sublime

It carries on with each ringing chime

Walks across each reaching rhyme

What wonders are seen in ticking time

Oh, the heart, the heart so free

Feeling what no perfect person can see

Hiding the secrets of human mystery

Confining a life only known to poetry

Oh, the words, empowering words

Fly across the page like gracious birds

Giving writers an art preferred

Stirring up the desire to someday be heard
