Hidden Truths

She paints her face to hide her pain

Ignoring all but the truth

"He wouldn't do it on purpose

This is love."

Ignoring all but the truth

She denies the rumors spreading 'round

"This is love

He would'nt lie."

She denies the rumors spreading 'round

Mistaking he fears for butterflies

"He wouldn't lie

This is how relationships are supposed to be."

Mistaking her fears for butterflies

She holds his hand with peaking doubts

"This is how relationships are supposed to be

Maybe it will pass."

So she hols his hand with peaking doubts

As he remains unchanging

"Maybe it will pass soon

This has to be love."

He remains unchanging

She continues to hide behind a painted face

"This has to be love

He wouldn't do it on purpose, right?"

AN- The first step to a healthy relationship is knowing what to look out for and what not to do. If something feels "off," it most likely is and should be talked about fixed. Don't fall blindly with unknowing trust. #BECAUSEILOVEYOU
