Hide-And-Go-Seek

The world and I

We play hide-and-go seek

I hide myself in my words

And somehow

The world tries to find me

When the skies are grey

And everything melts into a lifeless abyss

Into a bleak, sluggish spectacle

That I can hide beneath the darkness

The world counts to ten

I run off and grab my pen

Step into my journal

And simply get lost in my words

Lost in thought

Feelings

The past

The present

Thoughts that are mine

Situations that sometimes are not

Getting lost is my own personal dosage

To cure the insanity of the world

That so desires to find me

When I just want to be lost
