Hide and Seek

Peel a layer; at first there is no difference.

Try another two or three and I might turn a shade pinker.

Seven is the magic number; something begins to seep through then.

See here the blue blood -

It pulses between clumps of muscle and fatty tissue.

Trace a vessel from the arm to the heart;

It flows in one ventricle and out the other.

Watch it run up the neck and into the brain

Where it gets lost inside the gray matter and goo.

Now take that piece and divide it into a thousand parts.

Take one thousandth and put the specimen beneath a microscope;

Look very close.

Do you see it yet?

It's strange and misshapen but I promise it's there somewhere -

Whatever it is you think you're looking for.
