Hide Your Lies Behind The Filter

#nofilter

Because the truth of my words means so much more than the over lap of my teeth

#nofilter

Because while my skin has spots and specks that nobody likes I have mirror images on my record that make me legened

#nofilter

Becuase while I may be silent I will never be meek

#nofilter

Because it's time for authors to romanticize brown eyes

#nofilter

Because I can run but I refuse to hide

#nofilter

Because the words from my breath mean just as much of those born from my brother

#nofilter

Because having short does not give you the right to call me a dyke

#nofilter

Because the red on my lips burns just as bright as the red in my mind

#nofilter

Because her skin is different than mine, but we glow with a beauty no sun can outshine

#nofilter

Because the water is bitter and it shouldn't be shown any other way

#nofilter

Because my roots reach farther than any lens can see

#nofilter

Because I'm still learning to just be me
