In Hiding

I'm far too shy to speak out.

And I am far too scared to be loud.

I hide, I quiver, especially behind the blinding screen

of this computer.

I do not raise my hand in class,

I do not answer the questions the teacher asks.

I am trying but I am afraid,

of what my fellow students have to say.

And because of this insecurity,

I just stay in hiding.
