Hiding Behind

Location

Behind  the  brightest  smiles  are  the  darkest  secrets

Behind  the  happy  high  fives  are  the  low  blows  and  hits

Behind  the  loudest  laughs  are  the  quietest  screams  for  release
asking,  "Please?"

Behind  the  perfectly  sculpted  makup  lie  harsh  scars

Behind  the  eyes  brimming  with  laughter  lie  tears  like  stars

Behind  the  loud  clapping  hands  of  encouragement  are  hands  clasped,
prayers  dashed

Behind  the  first impressions, pleas  for  second  chances

Behind  the  perfectly  ordered  life,  chaos  dances

Behind  the  liveliest  eyes  are  tormented  souls,  shrinking  in,
swallowed  whole

But  most  of  all,
Behind  the  happiest  people  are  the  saddest  circumstances

Amera

This is a little bit about me.

The popular girl with all the friends. The girl with the perfect family, perfect clothes, perfect after school activities. Perfect.

Ha...ha.

No. This is about the real me.

The "Imperfectist".
