Hiding in a Bottle

I found myself at the bottom of a bottle Cuz there was no other place to hide I'm back to my old ways, my old games And feeling this old pain inside I thought I was free Thought I could truly be alive But in the end it was a just a lie Here I am just a memory you once knew Still in pieces, completely shattered by you There may come a day when I finally feel alive But once you're broken, you're never fully whole inside I found myself at the bottom of a bottle Completely swallowed in pride I'm back to my old ways, my old games, My old pain, these old rains Come wash me away It's time to change the tune of this song I'm gonna get up from where I've been all along Hold my head up high Time to get up and fly Cuz you know on the ground My feet never belonged Wish you all the luck that I can Hope God found you a really good plan As for myself, I'll sit and I'll write and I'll draw and I'll fight I'll live every day as if its my last Cuz thats the only lesson I've learned from my past Maybe one day when we're grown We can try again And build a home For now I'll hide at the bottom of this bottle... And keep writing this song.
