Hiding From Reality

The warmth suffocates me,

As you tell me you care,

Because I know it’s a lie,

I’ve heard your screams and swears,

The hollowness eats at me,

As the tears stream down my face,

Because you punish my pain,

And expect me not to bleed

The shiny trinkets anger me,

As I’m silenced by your glare,

Because you think that I’ll shut up,

And be normal,

If you buy me things to escape.
