The High Noon Sun Is Present Now

The high noon sun is present now

I'm dancing in the dust,

Your ever-present lust is gone

beneath the earthly crust.

The high noon sun is present now

my shame is what you see,

shake the ground with blistering sound

the bell, it tolls for thee.

The high noon sun is present now,

I hate who I am not,

your careless rain burns out my flame

without a second thought.

The high noon sun is present now

beneath the diamond sky,

you and I, like fireflies

won't walk when we can fly.

The high noon sun is present now

our souls float in the wind,

through toil and strife, we have found life

in pain we strive to mend.
