High School Crush

No one ever smiled at me

The way that you do

No one ever was this kind to me

Like you

I said Hi

you said Hello

I didn't’t know

How this was supposed to go

I hadn't’t felt this before

I was scared

I was unsure

I was careful

I was wrong

You knew what it meant

You knew what to do

You had an idea to what was going on

I had no clue

Well, it’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt

You hurt my heart

I felt it break

You carried on

As if it were not your mistake

Now the thought of you makes me cry

Why you would do that to a young girl

I don’t know why

Maybe you had no clue, too

Maybe you got scared

Maybe you did what you had to.
