High School Influences Our Lives High School influences our lives Every morning we are greeted by the security guard who is a stranger hidden behind a shield We walk through the doors of a learning center with our bodies set on sleep and our minds set on boredom How do you expect a respectable student to learn when falling asleep is acceptable We miss the importance of education and stroll through the halls with so much communication We wander with so much confidence but never receive any consequence Students have the privilege of an open campus but how can you keep them concentrated with destinations on their mind We are taught to be superlative but were allowed to be so talkative The friendlier our teachers are, like having a sprained ankle, the lazier we get High School influences our lives What we do and who we are is what we recognized for Every athlete is recognized for the plays they make on the field Every honors student is acknowledged for the Ivy League they will be attending Every theatric star is noticed for what play they are staring in Every musician is known for what musical instrument they excel in Every artist is complimented for the amazement of their artwork We all have our own profession but what is high school without education High School influences our lives People will judge you on how you act A bad attitude is like a flat tire, you cannot go anywhere unless you change it People will judge you on what you wear People will judge you on the classes you take All the honors get more respect but have the same amount of homework as everybody else Everybody judges, however judging a person will only define who you are We should live life impressing ourselves and not others without feeling insecure Being yourself will get you more respect than a rainbow fish in an ocean High School influences our lives We are all known for who we are in high school, But not for whom we want to be when we get out In the end, It’s all about what we are doing with the rest of our lives; And if we have found true happiness
