High School Mentality

The day is light and I feel alright. But when day turns to night I lose sight. Unrecognizable is the past, blind is the future. The same songs get tired in my head. I am alive with destiny, awake with fear, helplessly lost in the person I've become. Running away from who I was trying to exist outside of memories. My dreams form from my days and my days chase my dreams. I fear what I will not do and what I could have done. I keep promises with myself. Searching for something I do not recognize, pleading with possibilities, I lose sense of it all. Afraid to feel. Eager to live
