High school is war
wake up
start brushing
get dressed
hop off the bus and open my locker
fuss about waking up so early
see that inside are a bunch notes
read them silently
being differnet is a punishment
when it feels like your the only minority in the school
discard the notes and stay cool
going to school to get an education
to show them who really is the dissapointment
go to class and sit down
dont worry about the sound
mute them all out with the music
let it seep through all the stress and worry
get infront of the class to present
stay calm and cool
get an A and stay there in school
provide the information and execute
show them the process but not the harship
advance through out the years
let go of the fears
get laughed at
get tossed around
stay calm and cool
senior year is finally here
look back on the eager arrival
finally being the top
everyone in the same clothing
although being a minority does stand out
proud to thrieving
high schools over it all counted
beginning my first steps to college
