They see me as an overachiever
Being swept away with the thoughts of a dreamer
I stand-alone on the banks of the ocean
The rest of the world moving to a different motion
Here I soar without no wings
Being weightless proves no human beings
The words of authority leading me in a direction
Experience tells me this is going to be perplexing
But wait
I don’t hesitate
I stand-alone on the banks to deviate
From the words of a so called “knower”
I see them nothing more than lower
You see
Your entering high tide
Into the depths of a wave with its own mind
Into a motion that’s going to be hard to find
And so you drowned
Thinking the work is kind you wait
But no I deviate
I stand-alone on the banks of the ocean to contemplate
Not whether to save you
But to watch
For its not the high tide that killed but authority
And so I stand-alone on the banks of the ocean
For I refuse to abdicate my emotions
