High-Y

Sitting as I was, on a rock, the scene inspired me, The beauty of it all; God’s skillful paintbrush on the sky, It made me stop and think, “How am I worthy, this to see?” And I sat there meditating, waiting for his reply. The fading sunlight set fire to the edges of the clouds, As that summer evening came to a close, everything stilled. As the rocky land was waiting for its velvet black shroud, Meditating, my soul invited God in, and was filled. On that glorious summer night of rejuvenation, Many things deep inside me shifted; my eyes were opened. I could see everything – the whole world illuminated, In that moment, I became new, enlightened, emboldened.
