Higher

You took me higher than the drug you had introduced me to

Snorting cocaine only dulled the pain

You completely numbed it

When you held me in your arms everything felt so right

And each time I promised to rid myself of you

I relapsed

And relapsed

Steady coming back for more

It's honestly a catch 22

You hurt me

Yet without you all I feel is pain

Tell me

How can I silence your rain?
