The Higher I Get

The higher I get

the lower I sink.

Puff puff pass.

Inhale,

exhale,

pass it on.

As my mind trails off,

my eyes go low.

Its an escape from reality.

But why do I do it?

The higher I get,

the lower I sink.

This isn't the real me.

I've changed how I appear and act.

I replaced old friends with new ones.

These aren't my real friends,

they were a replacement.

They introduced me to a new hobby.

An addicting one.

Puff, puff, pass.

Inhale,

exhale,

pass it on.

The higher I get,

the lower I sink.
