Him

His soft green eyes That can see right through mine Are unlike any I have ever seen For his are like a dream Such a handsome man So perfect he should be banned But then I would be upset Not having him I would begin to fret He doesn’t look at me often Nut when he does I begin to soften Looking me straight in the face My heart begins to race I do not fear of being in love For the gods have given it to me from above I only fear he does not love me back In which case I would have a heart attack How could I love a man such as him? Whenever so often I look grim How do I pronounce my love? Tell him myself or with a dove? Him ever so much older than I Must leave me alone to die It is as if we have never spoke And he does not know it when I mope Such a wonderful guy That makes me wonder why No other man on this planet Could be as handsome or smothered in talent
