Him

Minutes with him are hours in heaven
I cannot know what comes after
Our fingers fit thread tight woven
I greatly love his light-bright laughter

I do not know what comes after
I don't remember what came before
All that I know is I love his light-bright laughter
The way "It's me" sounds through the door

I do not care who came before
In his strong embrace I'll stay
And when "It's me" walks through the door
His eyes will wash my sins away

In his strong embrace I'll stay
In his loving arms I'm home
His eyes will wash my sins away
I pray for golden glow to come

In his loving arms I'm home
And as I sleep in his heart's space
I pray for golden glow to come
Drape mornings light upon his face
