him
he left
without a word
left me in a cleft
in an absurd
way
If I had known he would leave this early
I would have said, "I love you."
We last met
He had a smile on his face
knowing that he is going to face
death tomorrow
If he were here, he might be at my graduation, right?
My wedding, right?
He would ride all the way
to see me, right?
But I hope he knows I love him.
