Him

I look past the sand and into the water,

but all I can really see is you.

Holding me tight, keeping me calm

then reaching for my palm.

I look past the sand and into the water,

but all I can see is you.

without him I would be lost, confused,

scared. He says we will be okay as the tears

start streaming down my face. Now fast forward.

I look past the sand and into the water,

but I don't see you.
