Him

I don’t know how we got here, but all I know is that I like it.

He would give me the world if I asked for it but that’s something I don’t want.

I don’t need the world when I have him.

He makes the pain go away.

With a touch, a hug, a kiss.

He never asks for much but if he does I would give it to him.

Time he’s with me is time well spent.

This love he gives is indescribable.

The advice he gives is beyond compare.

The best that I have had.

I wouldn’t change anything about him.

He is perfect.

He is strong.

He is intelligent.

Irreplaceable.

Couldn’t ask for anyone better.

All I can do is go back for more.

He makes my heart sing.

In the beginning I always second guessed my feelings.

I gave up on love, I stopped looking.

After being hurt so many times.

All I wanted to do was hide.

Always wondered if this was really real.

Knowing that everything that glitters is not gold.

But coming to find out I think I have found something that really is gold.

I decided to let my guard down.

And I’m glad I did.

Making my shattered heart feel WHOLE again.

Something it hasn’t felt in years.

Now he makes me shed tears of joy.

Not tears of sorrow.
