Him

Alone isn't a place I want to be,

No need for me,

With the man who fought,

The man who pledged his life to a nation,

With the man who brought,

A love in my life for creation.

He's my deserted island.

He is my solace my family my strength,

When the ocean kisses the sand,

Our love is the wavelength.

On his shoulder I float,

In his arms I melt,

Our love a boat,

A love I've never felt.

All I need is him,

And I'll never be deserted.
