To Him

To go far away

To a place you are not.

To leave far behind

To be long from where you’ve got.

To see your eyes,

To think the same thoughts.

To be found in the light,

To tie the old knots.

To wrinkle the sheets.

To feel the breeze.

To lie all day.

To lie me away.

To see for once

What I should have always known.

To wish for twice

I could finally go home.

To know at last

‘Twas better to love a little

And long

Than never to have loved at all.

To know

Because I love you

I will not wait

But rather move.

To leave you be.

To know we cannot.

To never be again.

To leave you be.

To know where burns my love,

To be with you always.

To whatever end,

To whenever knows.

To go far away

To a place you are not.

To leave far behind

To be long from where you’ve got.
