Him

Red in the face, embarrassed, yet proud.

I don’t mind if people know how I feel.

When I hear your name, blood rushes through my veins.

My heart is held captive by love.

And my voice becomes soft.

As I walk through the hallways with my rose-colored glasses

I daydream about us and what we could be.

I see our future and I imagine what your life was like before me,

You see, I can’t get you out my head

Your voice is constantly running through my head

And I always go back to that time

That time we really talked and you showed yourself to me

My walls are built so high,

But the muscles on your body let me know that you were capable to climb it

You see, no one understands how I feel

When I mention your name they think it’s a joke

Little do they know that I would kill to have your last name after mine
