Him

Dear Him

This is awkward. I hope you know who you are

6 am, I didn’t feel your skin touch mine. I heard your car

you left with everything and your empty drawer.

See, what you don’t see is that you left with a piece of me.

the only piece i had left of me, the only piece that i could see

of me.

I knew you weren’t the one for me

but deep down i wanted you to be.

you didn’t believe in us.

we lacked in communication, promises, and trust.

I went to hell and back and you still couldn’t love me.

the girl with the long blonde hair, crooked smile, and I’m here begging please

You see, i’m not a fighter but I’ll fight for what i love

you pushed me away when you found a new girl, you cared to shove

love at first sight wasn’t my thing

but when years have gone by, all you complain about is my cling

You took me in and loved me unconditionally

even giving you a million chances, I’m here again begging on my knees

was i ever good enough?

I promise you, for you I’ll adjust

flash back right before my eyes

i wouldn’t have thought you’d leave me to die
