him

Cold windy night

I sit alone on my window seal

With my coat and hat on

Ready to run outside

But I’m waiting

Just waiting

Six years of waiting

The man I loved

Is somewhere out in

This frozen world

Maybe he’s wrapped up

That patchwork jacket

I made him

Six years ago

Or

Maybe he’s in a small

Cedar box under the snow

But really I know where he is

He's sitting all warm and cozy

Next to her

In that little house on the hill
