Him
Boom
That’s it
Im gone
To quick
To fast
it didn’t last
my life
gone
How?
Why?
What does this mean?
Was it my time,
To leave my this place.
Questions running wild in my head before my last breath,
I take it deep and I go in to defend myself against this monster of man,
He abused his power and let his anger run rapid,
For the color of my skin is what he targeted.
I remember his eyes,
The devil rising inside him chanting
DO IT! DO IT!
I was innocent,
I had a whole life to live,
But because of my color and how I presumed to appear he took the one thing that meant the world to me,
My life
It was so fragile,
My parents raised me to be a man and stand up for what I believed in.
I was a man with many questions,
Questions that will never be answered because of one man
A man who didn’t have a heart or soul,
Who would rather take the life of a teen ,
Than the life of his own,
We are all judged by the stereotypes,
The color of our skin.
Our Eyes,
Our Hair,
Where you live?
What you wear?
How you act?
All of this came down to that boom,
And that was it,
My life was gone to quick,
To fast,
Gone!
Just like that,
All because of…
Him.
