Him
She wants him.
She wants him to be strong and scarred and shy.
No, not a bad boy, not someone to hurt her or himself.
That’s not what scarred means.
Scarred, means healed. The wound knit over with time and care, now just a story and a proof of experience. Someone with the wisdom and ability to heal of a scar.
Strong, is more than physical. Someone to be strong enough to be kind when no one expects him to. Strong enough to be someone that other people look up to.
Shy, that’s not so important. Just a little wish. That he will be quiet and gentle and not need attention, not need to fill up an empty space with mindless chatter. That he will say what needs to be said and nothing more. And have a tenderness about him that will be strong and shy and scarred, and hers.
She wants that.
