Him.
You were my night and shining armor.
You were a master charmer.
I was your little girl.
The one you would dance with and twirl.
But something has snapped inside of you.
And it leaves me questioning what to do.
You go from complete rage to being casual again.
I never know when you're going to snap, please tell me when.
I'm a peasant and you're the dictator now.
You have absolute power, but I'll never bow.
I'm the gum stuck on the bottom of your shoe.
I'm completely helpless, there's nothing I can do.
You're the devil, I endlessly suffer.
But what you've done has only made me tougher.
I am a soldier, and this is a furious battle.
Anyone but me, this experience would rattle.
The truth stings as it dances through my head.
The more it does the happier I am that I left you behind.
I'll always wonder what goes through your mind.
I can't imagine leaving my children behind.
That's precious time you'll never get back.
But saying sorry was always something you lack.
My pain and happiness both collide.
What you've done has killed me on the inside.
Believe it or not I still wait for you to call.
I never thought you'd be the one to let me fall.
You always said, " Never date those boys, they'll only break your heart!"
Well, you've ripped mine completely apart.
The built up anger is like a pounding headache.
A ticking time bomb just waiting for me to break.
All your teachings are going down the drain.
I never thought you'd be the one causing me the most pain.
Your words "You'll never be anything without me" are imprinted in my head.
I'm going to prove you wrong, I'll never forget what you said.
I never thought it would come down to this.
But life's never pure bliss.
I know you'll be back one day, but just remember.
Once you leave my life and hurt my family you're no longer a member.
