HIM


 

He woos her

He talks to her

He kisses her 

He wants her

He sees through her

He thinks of her

He touches her

He's her high

He's her diary

He makes her

He breaks her

He caresses her

He fills her

He's her knight

He's her shield

He's part of her

They're the same but different

She loves him

And he's slowly loving her too

<p>It is easy to forget sometimes how the simplest words can mean such beautiful things- and make the most impact. This piece was a great reminder of that for me. The repetition was a reminder just as much as the poem as whole, of love and the racing thoughts we have of each other when we are in it. Secretly though, I think my favorite part about this poem is no matter what line you look at here in this piece he is never presented without her, and vice versa- they are always together, and I think that is beautiful.
