Him
I can't sleep because i know he will be there
He can see me but i only see his shadow
He know me inside and out, my dreams, goals, and deepest fears
Yet i don't know anything about him, except that he wants something from me
Something as precious as life
As I lay there in the dark I can feel him coming
Restless my body shuts down and i drift off to sleep
Suddenly I spring back into consciousness arising from my body slowly like smoke dispersing
I sit and watch myself sleep like a hound guarding his master
There I lay in the middle of a dark endless room
As I look around I can feel him there coming for my body
He lurks closer and closer but I can't warm myself
He finally appears a tall dark build, I can see his figure so defined, his body is gnarled and weak but I can't make our his face
He approaches my body and I can see his wretched breath brush against my face his large hands reach for my neck, the long ebony figures brush my skin
I scream at my body but my voice is muted by the black void
He moves to capture his prize...
With a blood curdling scream and shutter I awake, the cold sweet runs off my body and I go through the day knowing I will face him again
Because he will not cease until he is victorious
